Silk Blend from Manos del Uruguay is a perennial favorite. The colors are glorious, and the silk adds a lustrous sheen to the fabric that also has great stitch definition and a soft hand. Since they are dyed in large kettles, no two skeins are exactly alike. Be sure to order a sufficient quantity for your project and alternate skeins for a overall blended effect.
Take a look at Mitzi's version of Amaranto by Jocelyn Tunney. The color possibilities for your version are almost endless. Amaranto requires 9 skeins of Silk Blend and size #7 needles. The pattern is available on ravelry.
