💫 The story
We’re thrilled to collaborate with Nicole Clark, owner and color enthusiast behind Hue Loco. Founded in 2015 in Loveland, Colorado, Hue Loco is a woman-owned, woman-operated fiber studio where a small, passionate team of artists live and breathe color. Drawing on her decade-long background as an oil painter and art educator, Nicole creates dynamic, curated palettes that inspire knitters and crocheters to feel confident and joyful in their craft. For this exclusive release, she has designed a stunning new 4-skein fade set to pair perfectly with Olga Fahim’s "Laelia Twin" Shawl.

💫 The kit
This limited-edition set includes 4 skeins (1,840 total yards) of Hue Loco's Phyllis Sock, hand-dyed in a Botanical Fade. The fade begins with lighter tones on one end, shifts toward the lightest value around the fourth skein, and deepens into dramatic purple-blue tones at the darker edge. Each skein stands beautifully on its own while blending seamlessly into the next, creating “a little bit of drama” in the transitions, especially when worked in garter stitch. 

This kit includes:

• Four full-size skeins of Phyllis Sock in the exclusive Botanical Fade palette
• PDF pattern for the "Laelia Twin" shawl by Olga Fahim

💫 The yarn
Phyllis Sock is a soft yet durable 4-ply fingering-weight yarn with a classic merino/nylon blend. The superwash merino offers next-to-skin softness and exceptional color saturation, while the nylon adds strength for lasting wear. Ideal for accessories or garments, it creates a smooth, lightweight fabric that drapes beautifully and makes colorwork sing.

All patterns are included with your Season 10 purchase and will be delivered digitally through your “Season 10 – Be Extraordinary” Knit Stars Portal. (There is not a physical pattern).
