The Fibre Co. Acadia
Inspired by rugged rocky coastlines, Acadia is a DK-weight rustic blend of fine Merino wool (providing warmth) and baby alpaca and silk noil (adding drape and lustre as well as an interesting knobbly texture).
The colors of the base fibers influence the resulting dyed colors; the brown baby alpaca, ecru merino tops, and silk noil are kettle-dyed, resulting in a heathered appearance with the subtle duotones for which The Fibre Co. has become known.

Shelley designed the Adrenaline Cowl to show off the luscious "Acadia" merino-alpaca-silk blend, with just enough color change and easy patterning to keep her adrenaline up the whole project through - cast-on to bind-off.
Evelyn knit her cowl with US Size 8 (5mm) needles and one skein each of colors "Blue Heron," "Mountain Ash", "Yellow Birch" and "Rosebay."
Please add a note to your order and we will email you the pattern PDF free with your purchase of 4 skeins or more of Acadia.
