When Ross of Twisted Ambitions Yarn started delivering yarn for us to feature, we were astonished at the beauty and quantity of Wicked DK that came our way! So many gorgeous colors, so many project ideas!

The yarn:

Wicked DK is soft and squishy and has great stitch definition.  And it's dyed by Ross so you know the colors are simply divine! We've curated several projects that will shine with this scrumptious 4-ply merino. Which one will jump onto your needles?

"Sophie Scarf" by PetiteKnit @petiteknit

One of the hottest accessories on knitters' needles right now is the Sophie Scarf.  Sophisticated, on-trend, and sassy, this one skein wonder will fly off your needles and have you casting on for another.

Knit on size US 4 (3.5mm) needles, the scarf comes in small and large sizes with finished tip to tip lengths of 31-1/2 (40-1/4) in / 80 (102) cm.  You will need 101 (140) yds / (92 (128)m for your scarf.  One skein will make two small scarves.

"Hip N' Slip Hat" by Ross Taylor @twisted.ambitions.yarn

Not only did Ross dye your yarn, he designed this super-cute, gender neutral hat! The slip stitch pattern knits up quickly and creates a soft and squishy fabric with beautiful crown shaping.

The hat is knit on size US 6 & 7 (4-4.5mm) needles and comfortably stretches to fit up to a 23 in (58cm) head. You'll need just one skein of Wicked DK to craft your hat. The pattern is available on Ravelry.

"Illumination Cowl" by Vincent Williams @visuvios_crafts

When we first saw Vincent's amazing cowl, we would have sworn it was knitted. But no, it's crocheted using a centered single crochet that mimics stockinette. Vincent's inspiration for this piece came from intricately carved calabash lampshades and graphic African beadwork. 

The cowl is crocheted with a US I/9 (5.5mm) hook utilizing two contrasting colors for maximum contrast. The finished dimensions are circumference 27 in (69cm) and height 10.25 in (27cm). You will need 2 skeins of MC and one skein of CC. The pattern is available on Ravelry.

"Whisky Neat" by Maxim Cyr

Inspired by his popular Single Malt Sweater, Maxim Cyr designed these toe-up socks that knit up quickly on DK-weight yarn on size US 4 (3.5mm) needles.

The pattern includes five foot circumference sizes ranging from 7-1/2 in to 11 in (19-28cm).  You will need 1 skein of Wicked DK for circumference sizes 7-1/2-8-1/4 in (19-22cm) and 2 skeins for circumference sizes 9-11 in (23-28cm). The pattern is available on Ravelry.
