Our collection of Moondrake Co. Suri Cloud Lace is simply stellar. Rachelle of Moondrake Co. was inspired by space and named each colorway after a female astronaut. And then she went the extra mile and created another special colorway "For Shelley" as well as 4 additional semi-solid colorways that complement our existing variegated colors.

Fiber:  74% Baby Suri Alpaca, 26% Mulberry Silk
Weight/Length:  50 grams, 328 yds (300m)
Gauge Designation: Lace
Gauge/Needle Size:  32 sts = 4 in (10cm) on US #0-1 (2-2.25mm) needles
Care:  Hand wash gently, lay flat to dry.

"Balloon Cardigan" by PetiteKnit @petiteknit

The elegant and eye-catching design features on-trend puffy sleeves and a boxy fit that work up quickly on size US 6 (4mm) needles into a feather-light and airy fabric. 

The cardigan has about  6 in (15cm) of positive ease built into the pattern instructions. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL correspond to a bust circumference of about 33 (35) 37 (39) 43 in / 85 (90) 95 (100) 110 cm (note that the final measurements of the cardigan are 6 inches larger). Measure your bust circumference before deciding which size will fit you the best. 

One strand of Suri Cloud Lace for your carry-along paired with a strand of Urth Sweet 16 Non-Superwash yarn create a perfect pairing for your own Balloon!

Knit on size US 2.5 and 4 (3-3.5mm) needles with a recommended ease of 16 in (40cm), you will need 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4) skeins of Loopsmobile and 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3,   4) skeins of Suri Cloud Lace for finished bust sizes 44 (48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 68, 72, 76, 80) in / 110 (120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 190, 200) cm.

"Ranunculus" by Midori Hirose @midori_hirose_knit

When Shelley saw Knit Stars Season 5 star Tatiana Sarasa's version of "Ranunculus,"  Shelley cast on her own using the "For Shelley" colorway. The sweater is a boxy, top-down round yoke pullover with lace and textured stitches. It knits up quickly on US 10 (6mm) needles for the body and US 8 (5mm) needles for the ribbing. And you get to choose a long or short sleeve version.

The sweater has finished bust sizes of 117 (123, 129, 134) (140, 146, 151)(157, 166, 174, 180) cm / 46 (48.5, 50.75, 52.75)(55, 57.5, 59.5)(61.75, 65.25, 68.5, 70.75) inches. For the short sleeve version, you will need 2 (2, 2, 2,)(2, 2, 2)(2, 2, 3, 3) skeins of Suri Cloud Lace.  For the long sleeve version, you will need 2 (2, 2, 2)(2, 3, 3)(3, 3, 3, 3) skeins of Suri Cloud Lace.
