When we discovered these breathtaking kits and yarns from Round Mountain, we just couldn't resist!
Round Mountain Fibers is a boutique fiber-arts studio based in Brattleboro, Vermont, offering an incredibly unique line of hand-dyed yarn inspired by nature. We have selected two of their collections in their Willow yarn base to jumpstart your spring and summer knitting: Ornithology (inspired by birds) and Aquatic (inspired by fish). Each skein is lovingly hand dyed: no two skeins are identical. Each skein is a 4-ply 100% Superwash Merino DK, 100 grams and 250 yards. We love the flexibility of choosing individual semi-solid and variegated skeins to add to the 3-skein sets as needed.
Need some inspiration on projects that would be awesome with the April Club selections? We're loving Jodi by Joji Locatelli--it will take one Aquatic or Ornithology set (750 yards) or 3 individual skeins and size 7 needles. Pattern is available on Ravelry.
Two other fun options would be Debut by Katiuscia Baysiak (2 or 3 skeins) or Blye Shawl by Katy H. Carroll (3 skeins). Patterns are available on Ravelry.
