Essence of Autumn Silky Linen DK

$ 37.49

The yarnstory:

Sheryl Cox is inspired by the feeling of the autumn season. To her, the joy that comes with fall is not limited to one time during the calendar year - it is an essence to be enjoyed all year long. This reminder to savor the colors, scents, and coziness of life (whether the leaves are falling or not) inspired her to create Essence of Autumn yarn.

The yarn:

We collaborated with Sheryl and she dyed eight colors on her stunning Silky Linen DK base, including new color Pot Pourri, which was created especially for us. This base is cool to the touch and has drape like you wouldn't believe!

"Lovella" shawl by Ambah O'Brien @ambahobrien

Jane used this lovely draping dream to knit her Lovella shawl by Season 6 Knit Star Ambah O’Brien. With contrasting colors in garter row stripes and a delightfully simple section of eyelet, Lovella knits up quickly and  forms a substantial shawl that curves like an embrace around the shoulders.

This shawl requires 2 skeins of your MC and 1 skein of CC and is knit with size US 7 (4.5mm) needles. Choose from these pairings which Sheryl curated especially for this project:

  • MC Flaxen + CC Pot Pourri (our custom color!) - as shown on model
  • MC Bee Pollen + CC Bronze

The finished shawl after blocking has a wingspan of 102 in (239cm) and depth of 19 in (48.5cm). The pattern is available on Ravelry.

"Sophie Scarf" by PetiteKnit @petiteknit

We love a quick and easy pattern that packs a fashion punch!  And this little ditty from PetiteKnit is worked back and forth in one piece from end to end with a beautiful i-cord edge as icing on the cake!

The scarf has two sizes--small and (large) with a length of 31-1/2 (40-1/4) in / 80 (102)cm, and a width at center of 4-1/4 (5) in / 11 (13) cm. One skein of Silky Linen DK will make either size. It is knit on size US 4 (3.5mm) needles, and the pattern is available on Ravelry.
