Queensland Collection Kathmandu Aran 100

$ 28.00

Queensland's Kathmandu Aran 100 is a hearty wool blend with a dash of silk and cashmere to provide a bit of sheen and drape to your project. We are over the moon with this tweed color palette!

Father's Day is almost here, but there is still time to knit him a hat! "Jason's Cashmere Hat" by Melissa Thomson of Sweet Fiber Yarns is knit with only 1 skein of Kathmandu Aran and a size 8 needle.

Over 6,000 people on Ravelry have made this hat and it's a free pattern! Use color 01 "Smoky Grey" to match the model, or choose his favorite color. (Check out "Merlot" for the OU fans in your life!)

For a quick, transitional accessory garment, whip up a "Soulful Blanket Cowl" by Tif Neilan.

To make your own, you'll need 2 skeins of your main color for a circumference of 55-63" or 3 skeins for 68.5-79." Then add 1 skein of each contrast color (you can make it with anywhere from 2 contrast colors all the way up to 4!). Our model is wearing Smoky Grey as the main color, with contrast colors Creme, Denim, Pitch Black, and Lavender. Tif uses US Sizes 10, 11, and 13 needles in the project.

We also love these groupings for a 3-color version:
Slate Grey with Creme + Merlot
Denim with Navy + Creme

Pattern calls for knitting needles in US sizes 10 (6.0mm), 11 (8.0mm), and 13 (9.0mm).
