Hedgehog Fibres Sock

$ 32.50

New colorways of Hedgehog are here! Yippee! We've got 15 new Hedgehog Sock colorways on the shelves, and they are just spectacular!

Hedgehog Sock Yarn is a 21.5 micron merino wool that's non-scratchy, softly spun and dyed in gorgeous, saturated colorways. Whether you want a shawl, scarf, sweater, hat or baby item, this mulesing free yarn is a perfect choice.

Beata Jezek has created this super simple yet dazzling garter stitch shawl that knits up quickly and mindlessly and yields a squishy, comfy shawl. The shawl uses two skeins of Hedgehog Sock yarn and size US #6 (4mm) needles and knits to a finished size of 63” (160cm) wingspan and 22” (56cm) deep.

We’ve curated some fun pairings for the “Fading Stripes” shawl with Hedgehog’s new colorways that are just eye-popping!  The “Fading Stripes” pattern by Beatz Jezek is free on Ravelry.

The same color combos offered you above will work with Caitlin Hunter’s seasonless “Marettimo” design.

“Marettimo” is a relaxed, lightweight summer sweater, knit in the round from the bottom up and featuring a simple feather and fan lace detail at the hem and sleeves. Named for a small island off the coast of Sicily, this sweater is the second in her series of designs named for Italian towns where she dreams of wearing them someday.

To make your own “Marettimo,” you’ll need 2 (3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4) skeins of your main color, and 1 skein each of 2 contrast colors, to fit sizes XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X). You want a size that’s 7-11” larger than your bust measurement and the finished bust sizes are 40 (43.25, 46.5, 49.5, 52.5, 55.5, 58.75)”

Caitlin Hunter’s “Marettimo” is available on Ravelry.
