Introducing Shelley's latest cast on—a luxurious and lightweight knitted cardigan from PetiteKnit with an undeniably stylish silhouette! The elegant and eye-catching design features on-trend puffy sleeves and a boxy fit that work up quickly on size US 6 (4mm) needles into a feather-light and airy fabric. 

The cardigan is knit on size US 6 (4mm) needles and has about 6 in (15cm) of positive ease built into the pattern instructions. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL correspond to a bust circumference of about 33 (35) 37 (39) 43 in / 85 (90) 95 (100) 110 cm (note that the final measurements of the cardigan are 6 inches larger). Measure your bust circumference before deciding which size will fit you the best. 

Shelley is using Urth Sweet 16 Non-Superwash as her base yarn in colorway Sand and Moondrake Co. Arupaka in colorway Rose Quartz as her carry-along.  

We've created some additional pairings using Rowan Cashmere Haze and Moondrake Co. Suri Cloud Lace that would be spectacular as well. 

Yardage requirements for your base yarn for the above sizes are 1150 (1380) 1380 (1380) 1610 yds.  Yardage requirements for your carry along yarn are the same--1150 (1380) 1380 (1380) 1610 yds.

If you're looking for a more roomy version of the Balloon, we've found this this Ombré cardigan that is available in finished bust sizes up to 68 inches!

Knit on size US 6 needles, you will need 750 (825, 900, 850, 1100, 1200, 1350, 1500)[1600, 1700, 1850, 2000] yards of your base yarn for finished bust sizes 32 (34, 36, 38, 41, 45, 49, 53) [56, 59, 64, 68] inches. Yardage requirements for your carry along yarn are the same as those listed for the base yarn.
