It often seems that the knit pieces we reach for most often are the simplest. That's certainly true for this 2x2 rib hat from Ariel Gardner. Aptly named "Basically," the hat is worked seamlessly from bottom to top with La Bien Aimée Merino Bouclé on size US5 (3.25mm) needles. Because of the nature of the fabric, there is a lot of give in either size.

Your kit contains 1 skein of La Bien Aimée Merino Bouclé to make either the 20" or 22" (51-56cm) circumference hat.
Fiber: 100% MerinoWeight/Length: 50 grams, 218 yds (200m)
Gauge Designation: While this yarn has the yardage of a fingering-weight yarn (28 - 30 sts / 10cm), La Bien Aimée say that it works up like a DK-weight yarn (20-22 sts / 10cm) and recommends using it with 5mm needles.
Care: Hand wash gently, lay flat to dry.
