Emma's Pretty Pima Kits

$ 92.99

Emma's Yarn dyed these kits just for us on their Pretty Pima base, which is a 100% Pima Cotton fingering yarn containing 437 yards (400m) in each 100 gram skein.

These kits are available in two colors - "Walking on Sunshine" and "Singing in the Rain." Each kit contains 3 skeins, forming a subtle fade. This easy-care yarn is perfect for summer knitting.

The V-Back Tee by Jamie Hoffman

Our Karen took this kit and knit the "V-Back Tee" with one kit of Emma's Pretty Pima in the color "Singing in the Rain".  One kit has enough yardage to create up to a finished bust measurement of 47 inches, intended to fit with a positive ease of 0-3 inches (0-7.6 cm). A second kit will be required to knit a larger size.

A largely self-explanatory design, the V-back Tee is a playfully rebellious reversal of the popular v-neck. With a top-down construction this tee features back v-shaping that begins at the start of the ribbed neckband and continues all the way down to the hem. The v-shaping is created by a series of paired increases that surrounds a graceful spine, and side decreases offset the widening fabric. Two sets of German short rows even up the front hem with the back.

The pattern is written to accommodate five, four or three colors (as shown in our version). There are multiple options, and what’s more-the tee is reversible! Worn in back, the V offers a nonstandard back neckline with a scoop neck in front; worn in front, the V becomes a v-neck with a fabric that accentuates the bust before subtly cascading to the hem. Wear it either way for an equally flattering fit. Karen created her fade by knitting with the lightest blue until she was almost out of that color, then transitioning to the next darker color, and then using the darkest shade for the bottom.  Fade your colors any way you like!!

Breeze Racerback by Jessie Maed Designs

Here is a breezy summer top that’s elegant in its simplicity and perfect for anyone looking for a quick meditative knit. The "Breeze Racerback" by Jessie Maed Designs is knit up at a loose gauge with fingering weight yarn.

Your kit does the fading for you! Start your second skein halfway through the body portion, then your third skein when you begin to bind off for your straps. The perfect speckled fade is achieved by the dyeing process, and the skeins are even numbered for you!

One kit will make all sizes up to size 5XL. We love that Jessie Maed's designs are so size inclusive and work for a wide range of body types.

Needle: US 7 (4.5mm) as recommended in the pattern.
