La Bien Aimée Corrie Worsted

The yarnstory:  During the challenges of the pandemic, Aimée found comfort in devoting herself to creating a new yarn base...and Corrie Worsted was born! Aimée says, "We are pretty sure we've developed the perfect sweater yarn, and we hope that you will love it as much as we do! Corrie Worsted is a natural non-superwash yarn base that is spun specially for La Bien Aimée. "

The yarn: Corrie Worsted is a blend of Falkland Corriedale and Gotland wool, creating a worsted spun wool that is soft and blooms beautifully when wet blocked, without growing.  Each skein weighs in at 100 grams with generous yardage of 250 yds (230m).

"Rolling Pastures Shawl" by Vincent Williams, Jr. @visuvios_crafts

Inspired by undulating fields in a horse pasture and the gentle trickling stream running through it, Vincent designed this asymmetrical shawl that incorporates easy garter stitch and inspiring sections that are sure to keep you engaged. You'll also learn faux cable construction techniques--just one of the tricks that have made Vincent the king of cables!

The finished size of the shawl is 63 in (160cm) along the longest side x 27.5 in (70cm) deep and is knit with size US 7 (4.5mm) needles.

You will need 3 skeins of La Bien Aimée Corrie Worsted to knit your shawl (we used colorway "Olive Juice"). The pattern is available on Ravelry.

"Feather" by Nick Davis @mousearmymittenco

Corrie Worsted is the perfect yarn base for this generous wrap that incorporates a textured faux-cable centered decrease to create the undulating chevron pattern that appears more complex than it actually is.  The easy-to-knit wrap is completely reversible and uses just two repeating rows!!!  Once you get started, you won't want to stop!

The project uses size 9 (5.5m) and 10.5 (6.5mm) needles.  The pattern is available on Ravelry.

You will need 3 skeins of Corrie Worsted to complete your wrap (we used colorway "Quartz Fumé").
