La Bien Aimée x Mondim
The yarn:
This 3-ply fingering yarn, named after a Portuguese village once famous for its sock-knitting industry, is a collaboration between La Bien Aimée and Rosa Pomar. The result is this lovely palette of colors dyed by La Bien Aimée that is perfect for garments and accessories.
Please note that due to the rustic nature of this yarn it is possible you will find straw or other vegetable matter spun in with your yarn. This is part of the charm of this yarn and its sheep to skein adventure.

This amazing asymmetrical triangle shawl is a perfect choice for your first colorwork project. Seasoned knitters will revel in the ease and fun of ribbing, slip stitches and, of course, changing colors! Only one color is used on any given row, and the built-in slip stitch edge gives a beautiful finish.
The shawl has a wingspan of 77.5 in (197cm), 57.75 in (146.5cm) length and 47.25 in (148cm) width and is knit on size US 4 (3.5mm) needles. You will need 1 skein each of 6 colors to complete the original version. For a look very close to the original shown, we suggest these 6 colorways: Stone C1, Bois de Rose C2, Winter C3, Yellow Brick Road C4, Smoke, C5, Hegelia C6.
To make the optional, larger, 2-color version, you'll need 2 skeins each of 2 colors. For a look similar to the large shawl pictured, we suggest Bois de Rose and Smoke.
