"Spiny Socks" by Fatimah Hinds
About her “Spiny Socks” pattern, Fatimah writes: “I really enjoy knitting and wearing heavy weight socks. They work up quickly and the result is very plush. These socks feature an offset cable that is mirrored on each foot flanked by plenty of squishy ribbing. The horseshoe cable made me think of a spine. The foot of the sock is knit with the purl side out so the inside is smooth for the wearer.”
As these socks are knit from the toe up, it is easy to adjust width and length.
This pattern only requires one skein of LolaBean Pinto Bean DK, and calls for US Size 4 (3.5mm) and 5 (3.75mm) needles.
Pattern available on Ravelry.

"Loops and Rope" Hat and Mitts by Fatimah Hinds
For Fatimah’s Loops and Rope Hat and Mitts, “reverse stockinette is contrasted with a striking cable pattern that won’t get lost in variegated yarn or make a bold statement in a solid color.”
This hat is knit from the brim up, with instructions for a folded or flat brim. The mitts are knit in the round with thumb shaping. With this yarn, there should be enough yardage in one skein to make both the hat and mitts, depending on your gauge.

"Old Soul Beanie" by Tif Neilan
The design on these hats was inspired by Tif's love of the herringbone stitch. It features a simple stranded colorwork pattern in three distinct colors, to playfully mimic a herringbone motif. This hat is designed to fit with a bit of slouch and is offered in four sizes ranging from toddler to adult large.
Carolyne knit her Old Soul Beanie using solids Tin Roof Rusted, Smoke Show, and Oatmeal Raisin. One skein each of three colors is enough to knit two coordinating hats in any pattern size.
Pattern calls for US size 6(4mm) and 9(5.5mm) 16-in (40cm) circular needles, plus DPNs for decreases.

"Bean and Olive Grown Up" by Andrea Mowry
The "Bean & Olive" children's sweater by Andrea Mowry was such a hit that she made an adult version, "Bean & Olive Grown Up."
Both sweaters are knit from the top down (meaning you can try it on as you go and add length to suit your own personal style!), beginning with the collar. The circular yoke is adorned with a sweet chevron and heart motif, and then you will separate the sleeves placing them on hold while the body is finished. The sleeves are then returned to the needle, picking up stitches for the underarm for a totally seamless sweater.
We used solid "Adella's Purple" and "Lola's Pink" for the body of our mom-and-me sweaters, and hand-dyed "Fanciful" for our colorwork contrast color. Pick out your favorite colors and make one for you and a lucky child in your life!
This sweater is designed to be worn with 0-4" (0-10cm) of positive ease. Choose your size based on desired finished garment chest size:
