Malabrigo Rios is a terrific 4-ply superwash merino that knits up beautifully into hats, scarves and sweaters. Wonderfully soft and dyed in glorious colorways, please be sure to order a sufficient quantity to complete your project. While we do our best to match skeins as closely as possible, we suggest you alternate skeins as you work.
Combine 1 skein of Rasta with Malabrigo Rios to create the Stranded Cowl by Julie Weisenberger.
People may not believe you knitted this cowl — the fabric is more woven in appearance. The wrong side is shown as the exposed side but the reverse, right side is also interesting; giving you a reversible piece. It is deceptively simple and very quick to knit. Use two soft yarns and you will have a plush, warm piece that you will never want to take off. Choose 1 skein of any color of Malabrigo Rios to combine with 1 skein of Rasta. Create a tonal effect by choosing similar colors, or a two color version with contrasting colors, as shown in our photo. Find Rasta here:
"Encantado" is a large shawl designed by Shelley Brander and is shown in Panjin Red, a special color created just for us. Add a note to your order, and with purchase of any 2 skeins of yarn, we will send you the PDF of this pattern.
