Each time I pulled it out, it put a smile on my face. I bet it could do the same for you.Β
Ravelry user jaynebramley said: "Such a beautiful wrap, I love the texture and it is a fun knit, you are just so excited to get to the next color !! The basket stitch pattern is easy to memorize and it is a relaxing knit that is great for knit night or craft day with friends as well as sitting on the sofa at home. "

"I'm really excited about this new base I've been working on for a while," says HHF owner Beata Jezek. "It's a tweed yarn and the colored bits are our own hand-dyed waste - the ties we take off the hand dyed skeins. We save them very diligently and it's a labor of love."
"We've been collecting the ties for a while and I finally found a mill that could process these, which means re-carding them, blending and spinning into yarn again. We have a batch of this lovely gray-ish tweed yarn with colorful speckles I love how neutral it is with a colorful bit here and there. "

And when someone else articulates that thing we've been feeling so deeply, we can feel grounded - so connected - so filled with purpose.
A shared experience can strengthen those connections, too. You probably made everyone in your family a pot holder with those little loom loops, right? You might have one hanging in your kitchen right now.
Loops Trooper Rachel has been spending days at home with her children, and her daughter of seven just might hold the tri-state potholder record. ;)
Last week as she was sitting quietly, humming to herself, weaving loop after little loop, Ellen said, "Mom, when I'm making, I forget that I have hands or a brain. It's just making and making and it feels really good I could keep going forever. "
She found a simple wisdom that we knitters cherish - that the place you go when the stitches keep coming and you lose yourself in the making is inside all of us.Β
